My Family History

Like lots of other families, I only really learned about my immediate family from my parents, though I remember as children visiting people who I knew as aunts and uncles but with whom I have lost touch. As well as this, I never really learned much about my ancestry. So, I decided to learn some more and, in so doing, to share some of those findings.

My surnames index provides some detail about my research findings to date. However, the "facts and figures" one gathers from parish and census records etc. only tells part of the story. Far more interesting are snippets of information and newspaper articles that help one to understand what life was REALLY like.
